Potlucks
Attending:
Monthly potlucks are usually held in private homes. All details of the event (locations, date, time, etc.) are sent out via the e-newsletter in advance.
Guests are asked to pay $5 at each potluck, however no one is turned away for lack of funds.
Guests should bring one dish to share (appetizer, entrée, salad, main or side dish, or dessert). Nevada County Pride provides plates, cups, utensils, and napkins for guests.
Guests bring their own drinks.
Please leave pets at home.
If you would like to attend a potluck but are not currently receiving the e-newsletter, go to the Contact tab, complete and submit the form.
Hosting:
Nevada County Pride provides host with plates, cups, utensils, and napkins that are moved in bins from each potluck event.
Hosts are asked to have an ice chest and ice for drinks.
Hosts are responsible for providing trash containers and removal
Hosts can expect an average turnout of 40 to 60 guests.
Hosts are not expected to contribute a potluck item, nor do they pay the $5 potluck fee.
As with any gathering at your home, we recommend that you carry suitable homeowners liability insurance.
We are grateful to our potluck hosts. If you would like to host a potluck, send us an email at potluck@nevadacountypride.org . We’d love to hear from you!
Volunteering:
Nevada County Pride gratefully accepts volunteer aid in our support of our local community events.
If you cannot host a potluck, consider volunteering to help someone else host.
If you would like to host or help with a potluck, send us an email at potluck@nevadacountypride.org letting us know what you would like to do. Thanks!
