“Breaking Down Barriers” Podcast Recording Event
You are invited to the live recording of a podcast program called "Breaking Down Barriers" on Tuesday, October 1st from 11:45 am to 1:00 pm at Nevada County Media. The goal of this monthly podcast, sponsored by Sierra Nevada Memorial Hospital Foundation, is to tackle the most difficult, real-life challenging topics that our community faces every day. Previous topics include mental health and suicide, Alzheimer’s and the challenges of care giving, substance use, and LGBTQ+ Youth.
The conversation is between Jamin Alcamo (he/him), Joselyn Zarate (she/her), and moderator, Color Me Human board member, Lolo Stone (she/her). The theme of the conversation is “belonging”: growing up Black and Brown in Nevada County. A live Q&A with the audience will take place after the podcast recording.
