We will be located down by the bocci and horseshoe courts at Pioneer Park. Behind the main field, behind the bathrooms, close to the creek.
Dear Nevada County LGBTQ2IA+ and ally community:
Please join Community Beyond Violence and Nevada County Queer Families for an outdoor picnic to celebrate our local LGBTQ2!A+ community! Let's gather, hold space, be joyous, and build connections. (THIS IS THE SAME PICNIC AS THE RESCHEDULED QUEER FAMILY PICNIC)
We will host lawn games for all ages, dancing, and most importantly -- a BBQ potluck! Bring a side dish or beverage to share if you'd like; if not, no problem - there will be food to go around.
Bright Futures for Youth and Yuba Harm Reduction will be there with information about their agencies and harm reduction supplies.
Transphobia, racism, homophobia, biphobia, xenophobia, sexism, misogyny, transmisogyny, islamophobia, anti-semitism, ableism, classism, ageism, body shaming, and slut-shaming are not welcome here. If you don’t know what any of the above issues are, please do some research to educate yourself. The more informed you are, the more inclusive our community can be.
We will be hosted by Nevada City's Pioneer Park, please abide by the guidelines they have in place.
