Queer Reads is a monthly adult book club (18+) celebrating the diverse voices of queer authors, characters, stories and joy. Join us each month as we celebrate queer storytelling and foster the discovery of new ideas and unfamiliar lived-experiences. Queer Reads meets on the Third Wednesday of every month. Hosted by Nevada County Library Staff.

For February, we will be reading First, Become Ashes by K.M. Szpara. This book is a fantastic standalone adventure that explores self-discovery after trauma and outgrowing abusive origins over the course of an American road trip. It is an adventure of magic and fellowship.

The next meeting of Queer Reads book club meeting is at the Gold Vibe Kombuchary. The book this month is Hijab Butch Blues, a memoir. The county library has a handful of community copies for us to borrow held specially, just ask at the desk.
