Auntie Vice’s Big Queer Book Club on Discord

Auntie Vice is thrilled to announce that she has several things scheduled. First, my new Discord book club, The Big Queer Book Club, is a go! We will meet the second Tuesday of every month to chat about books by and about LGBTQ+ folks. I started this group to center queer stories especially at a time these voices are under attack. My first guest and book will be Lamya H’s Hijab Butch Blues. This was my favorite book I read in 2023. Lamya has a beautiful and unique voice. Their approach to memoir is unique and universal at the same time. This is a difficult feat for any writer. Lamya has also tentatively agreed to join us for the meeting. We are meeting on Tuesday, January 9 at 6 PM PST/9 PM EST. I’d drop the link, but Discord only allows a single use of each invite link. Le sigh.
